Losing You – A poem about losing the person you are

Posted in Poetry by Amanda at 11:39 on 20th June 2008

This is a beautiful and fragile interpretation of how depression eats away at the person we are and how we feel we have to put a mask on to face every day life.

One day if we aren’t careful we will destroy all of the person we really are by faking something as innocent as a smile.

You may think you know me,

But you know nothing of me

Only who I pretend to be,

The real me, sits inside rotting away.
