Man! I thought I was the only one who couldn't make a decision. I have dysthymia depression and ADD. I start worrying what I am going to wear the night before and then I obscess about it over and over. I have to look perfect. I have low self-esteem and it drives me crazy.

Thank you for posting this, I don't feel so alone.

My best friend went through something very similar about a year ago.
I remember getting a hysterical call from her and not being able to understand what was wrong.
When I turned up at her house I found her sprawled out in the middle of the floor sobbing her heart out.
It was then I found out the real reason why she had been cancelling meeting up with me so much recently.
We both know now thought that she was suffering from low self-asteem and her anxiety was making her
unable to make everyday decisions.
Im so glad I was there to help her through it, if im honest had she not of called me that day I probably would
still be none the wiser.
It is easy to try not to burden people with your problmes or feel they may laugh at you or think your strange. We do have to remember that this is exactly what friends and family are for.

I think you are very right in saying primary bred behaviour is a key element to the people we will be when we are adults.
Sometimes we worry for our kids, will they suffer from my phobias, anxiety, and panic?
Although hypnotherapy has helped me alot I am still receiveing ongoing treatment, for how long I dont know.
We all need to take a little bit more care of those close to us, protect them from our own faults and flaws.

I find its hard when im manic not to depend on my husband.
From Helping me get out of bed in a day to telling me to get a shower and making me something to eat.
When i think about this now i myself thinks (how pathetic) but if it wasn't for him id fall apart somtimes.
It isn't healthy though to have a dependant relationship, if the relationship ever failed then who knows what that would drive you too?
Get some relationship councilling, it's been working for us and my husband has said he now feels less burdened.

Wish you the best with your challenge, and hope that you do get your driving licence. Learning to drive will be fun, but if you do find the going rough, don't give up, just be consistent and don't give up.

It is hard to support someone with Depression.
But I find that people are so quick to blame their Depression for everything bad that happens to them, this isn't always the case.

Through my own experience I realised I wanted more from a relationship than he could give, he wasn't the one for me.
I don't recent the past at all, I have become a stronger and happier better person for the decisions I made.

To be honest I think Depression was a big part of my own failing and not our relationship so much.
He managed to ruin that all by himself.

My battle with depression began shortly after the birth of my first child and has never stopped. I suppose it never will. I have learned that balance is key to dealing with this disease. Freiman talks of the meaning of life in his latest book and it really makes sense. He talks of a set of scales that need to be balanced. One side of the scale is full of internal things and the other side full of external things. Freiman lists the attributes that add weight to the scale and asks the reader to decide the balance. Find your proper balance and you find the ability to be happy. www.gafreiman.com is the book site. Life is like a box of chocolates and that is the beauty.
